App Version 1.4.0 Release Notes

Version 1.4.0 introduces a completely redesigned UI and streamlined account creation process. When we first launched, we embraced the "Web 3" philosophy of user account management—"not your keys, not your coins." However, we quickly discovered that one of the biggest pain points for users was understanding concepts like wallets, sourceful walletless wallets, and access codes.

• Traditional Login: Users can now create accounts by providing an email address, with account recovery features coming in a later update.

• Wallet Login: Users can still choose to log in using a Solana wallet without providing any additional information.

• Guest Mode: Previously tested in Beta 1.3.0, Guest Mode is now an official option when starting the app. This allows you to add another wallet (Solana public key) to view—but not configure—devices connected in the app, making it ideal for sharing access with family members without creating separate accounts.

  
  

UI Redesign

Our team have been developing a new UI design that we've begun implementing in this version. We're approximately halfway through the redesign process, with some screens still pending updates, primarily in the configuration and device onboarding flows.

New Beta Feature: Delegated Login with QR Code

We've added the ability to use the app to log in to other Sourceful services (with plans to expand to additional connected services in the future). For example, you can now scan a QR code in the Web configurator and confirm the login using the app—eliminating the need for a Phantom wallet plugin in your web browser. Please note that this delegated login has permission limitations; currently, you cannot transfer gateways using this method.

Coming in v1.5.0 (Mid-April) v1.5.0

Now we aim for a feature rich release when 1.5 goes live mid April. A lot of focus here will be on graphs presenting your energy production in a really nice and useful way with color ful graphs. Onboarding for our new Zap will get some love and menues and navigation trough out the app will be totally rebuilt to get an even smoother and better user experience.
