As CEO of Sourceful Energy, I'm thrilled to share some personal thoughts as we begin a new chapter of growth. Our growth strategy right now is all about expanding connectivity, starting with SolarEdge API integrations. This is a key move for scaling our platform, connecting more distributed energy resources (DERs), and moving closer to our vision of a truly global VPP—a platform that can connect and control even the smallest household resources as well as the largest industrial installations.

But let's talk about what sets us apart. Unlike others in this space, we aren't just relying on third-party APIs. We're taking a different route—incorporating a physical gateway as part of our strategy. This is huge. APIs are valuable, no doubt, but they have their drawbacks—they can be slow, and they simply aren't built for the kind of real-time, reliable control that a VPP needs to function effectively. A hardware gateway addresses these limitations head-on, giving us direct, secure, and verifiable control over every energy asset.

I believe that the future value of a global VPP lies in its ability to verify, control, and coordinate every energy asset in real-time—from a small solar panel on a rooftop to a massive battery installation. The only way to achieve this level of reliability and precision is through our gateway approach, which brings us closer to realizing a true coordination layer for distributed energy.
